Springfield, Illinois

Another popular place that’s visited in Illinois is Springfield, Illinois. You’ll definitely be interested in traveling here if you into history and the presidents because they have a lot of places to visit dealing with the presidents. But that’s not the only things they have to do; they have many of other fun attractions that you can do and make your vacations memorable if you’re not into history and the presidents.

                Abraham Lincoln was very big in Springfield and was very important.  They had an Abraham Lincoln PresidentialLibrary and Museum. This museum give a story and information about the civil war and the presidential election.  It shows the journey as Lincoln, experience as solider and more that you can see and learn.  You’ll have to come and check it out if you want to learn more it, it’s kind of a neat museum and I’m not the history kind of girl at all and don’t like that field very much.  They also have a special spot that you visit home that he lived in before he became president and its even preserves, so I think that would be kind of neat to go visit and see what kind of home he lived in and how he lived.  Then after you go visit his home you could visit his tomb.  Trust me his tomb is very special and very different from everyone else’s, it’s worth going to see it I know it’s sad and people don’t usually go to cemetery especially people that they don’t really know; but it’s worth seeing it.  Then you can also visit the Lincoln Depot, and the Abraham Lincoln memorial garden. You’ll have a whole day or at least that you can be learning about Lincoln and supporting his remembrance of him going to different places which I think would be very nice and neat idea that they have these places.  

                There’s also a skyscraper that you can visit, this thing is awesome especially at nights and it’s all lit up and it’s very pretty.  It’s called Hilton Springfield and it’s the tallest thing in Springfield. This is owned by the hotels so I would make sure that you stay at these hotels because I bet you’ll have an awesome view.

                The Washington Park is a beautiful place to go to especially when you go when the trees are changing because they have tons of trees all around the park but it’s such a pretty place to go all year round. It has a Botanical garden inside that you can visit and just have a relaxing day with having a picnic, taking a walk on the nice path, and they also have a golf course that you play golf and may more things that you can do to enjoy your day. It’s such a nice/beautiful place to not to visit.

                Springfield, Illinois is another good place to travel to, especially if you are into history and into the presidential such as Abraham Lincoln. But as you can see they have a lot more things to do other than history things; they have many beautiful places to visit and view on your trip. So I hope that you enjoy your trip and don’t regret it, because no one should complain because you are able to get away and should have a good time. 

Attractions in Chicago, Illinois

Illinois is a really neat place to travel to and there are multiple different towns/ cities that you can choose from and they all have their own uniqueness and fun things to do. One of the more popular towns that are visited in Illinois is probably Chicago. It’s a huge city have tons of different things that you made your vacation fun and wild.

                Such as going to the Navy Pier for the day and seeing what that s if you never heard or seen to it; it’s a pretty awesome place to go to.  The Navy Pier is a huge place that that different things inside that you can; such as several different kind of restaurants, museums, also has special things during the different seasons like boat cruises, winter wonderland and many more, and just different entertainment that will keep your day flying by and you will have a blast.   You’ll have to make sure that you make your way to the Pier Park, this is like an assessments park that provides a huge Ferris wheel that you can see pretty views of Lake Michigan and other pretty amazing views of Chicago that you wouldn’t be able to see. Then you can check out the other amazing rides they have and the miniature golf and remote control boats that they also provide which doesn’t include everything else. Finally you can end your night at one of their good restaurants and watch fireworks over Lake Michigan.  This place is an amazing place to visit and you won’t regret your time at all. You’ll probably want to come back and they also have great places to go to if you have children. So I would greatly recommended coming to this place.

                Do you like seeing interesting animals?? You’ll have to go check out the ShedAquarium. This place is amazing to make time to check out. They have some pretty interesting and cool animals that you walk around and look at. They also give tours that you can go on and learn about it if you want to learn more about the animals and the place. I would definitely make time on your trip to check this place out especially if you have kids they would be amazed by these animals and some of the things that they do (because some of them do tricks at times).

                Willis Tower also known as the “Sears Tower” is another common place that is visited too while people are visiting Chicago. If you are afraid of heights and don’t like to look to at high things I wouldn’t recommend going to this place because this is over a 100 story building that you can go into. But trust me if you are afraid of heights if might conquered your fear because when I was and I went on a roller coaster and now I’m over that fear and will go on anything.  If you can get someone to get you to go up there I bet you’ll love it!!

                Chicago, Illinois has so many other attractions that you can do while you’re on your trip such as more aquariums, museums, and a lot of different history places; if you’re into history, and you’ll have to make sure you stop by at the Wrigley Field even if they don’t have a game going on. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough and go there on a weekend and they have a home game and go watch them. They also have many more things that you can do that you’ll have to probably come back because you didn’t get everything in that you would like to visit because if they is a pretty fun and neat place to visit.

Spring Break: Minnesota Lakes

So you all know that there’s so many places that you can go for Spring break, so that can’t be you excuse that there isn’t anywhere to go. There’s all of these nice places that you can choose. We are so lucky that the world has expand and built up to be very nice in majority of the part. The Minnesota Lakes is another really nice place to choose that you could for the week, especially if you like to camp and fish.

                They have tons of cabins that you stay in right on the lakes, which they hold a lot of people and are kept up very well. It has all the necessities right there such as having a bon fire, has grill so you can have a grill out; but I recommend brig your grill if you can especially if you are grilling for a lot of people. It’s so relaxing because there’s a huge space where we go up to that you can bring your lawn chairs and just out there and tan and just have a nice day. Listening to the birds chirp and water rippling, doesn’t that sound like an enjoyable day and you don’t have your phone or nothing, nobody to bother you because there’s no service out there.

                Then you can go out to the lake on your boat; which is right out the back door of your cabin and go fishing. Trust me this lake is huge and if you have good luck that day you can catch a lot of fish and then go cook it on your grill for supper that night. And just have a nice ride on your boat for the day and hope that it’s a nice day because some days in Minnesota is can a little chilly and not the hottest out like you would it to.  There are other things that you can do in the town of Minnesota, but you’ll just have go and check it out because I’ve never really been in the town part.

                So I hope that you’ve chosen somewhere good to go on your Spring break and had a blast. Everyone goes somewhere different and that’s ok. It’s ok if you go to Mexico, Spain, Florida, Minnesota, Colorado, Jamaica or even stay home. The most important part is that you had fun and enjoyed it because you should that your off school and don’t have to worry about homework or anything.

Spring Break: New Orleans

New Orleans is another common places that is traveled to during Spring Break. I know I had some cousins and a few other people that went there over their Spring Break and had a blast.  There’s also a lot of things that you can do there, well anytime that you travel should be fun because they usually have things that you get to do that you can’t do in your home town.             

Do you like staying by the water that you can hear the rippling water when you are sleeping? Also would like to have to opportunity to see awesome sunsets and sit out on sandy beach? New Orleans is a great place for this also. It’s beautiful to have the chance to wake up that or at night when the sun is setting to have supper out on your deck; or sitting out on the sand and watching it set is the best time.  Trust me you’ll miss is when you have to come home and you don’t have that opportunity, I know I always miss it; the life on the beach…….

New Orleans many attractions and activities that you should make sure to do while you there on your trip. Such as going to the amusement park.  It reminds me a lot like Six Flags. And who doesn’t like to ride rides and have a great time and enjoy their day? Me!! I bet you’ll have a blast of time and want to try other amusement parks if you have never been to one before. They are pretty fun especially if you love to ride rides and if you’re going with a group of people.

New Orleans is also known for Jazz and have a lot of Jazz things that you can go and look at such as the JazzNational Historical Park, the Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, have many jazz concerts and just a lot of other things that deals with jazz that you can do. So if you like jazz music and anything to deal with Jazz I would recommend to go check to see what they all have. 

                New Orleans also have many other things that you can that I definitely recommend to go check and just go sightseeing because they have some pretty awesome things that you can see that you wouldn’t be able to see anywhere else. So I hope if choose to go there on your Spring Break that you don’t regret it and just have a great time.

Spring Break: Florida

Traveling is pretty much everyone’s big priority for Spring Break.  People go everyone and leave early from school and come back to expand their vacations. This is the time of year that when a lot of people travel; I think even more than summer which is very surprising. Especially when this is the most expensive time of the year because everyone knows that people will go no matter what.  Spring break just got over for us for the year and there were tons of people of people traveling; but unfortunately this year we didn’t

                One of the most popular places is Florida that is traveled to during Spring break.  They have perfect weather and a lot of fun things to do. I love going to Florida and being able to lay out on the beach and just able to enjoy it! Especially when you can get a place to stay right on the beach and when you look out of your house there’s the beach. Trust me it’s awesome and just tops your vacation.

                You can go Disney World while you’re in Florida, this place can get a little overwhelmed and crazy because it’s so busy. But if you like to ride rides you’ll definitely like this place and is worth your time. It’s also worth your time if your have little kids so they can see Mickey and thee characters dressed up and do plays and stuff, that’s always neat and you kids would love it. Disney World haws some awesome rides like I mentioned, such as some huge roller coasters that you’re going to have to be holding your breath when you’re coming off of it, because you’re scared or like just OMG I just did that….

                Sea World is another amazing place to visit while you’re in Florida. This is one my favorites place to go and always have to go back every time we make our visit to Florida.  Trust me you’ll see some amazing tricks that I can’t believe that these animals can do. There are so many other things that you can do there and it’s just an awesome place.

                Florida is just a great place that you travel to in many reason. For the beaches, nice weather, entertainment. Also it’s really nice that there are tons of different places in Florida that you can choose to go and it’s all sprawled so you have your space and hoping that a lot of people will be traveling there this week that it still won’t be crazy busy with all of the other beaches you can go to.  Make sure that you stop in at your resort shops to see what they have because they always carry neat things and nice apparel because who doesn’t like to have a remembrance from their vacation especially clothes? I love to clothes especially from places like that! 

Lake Panora!

Iowa has a lot of great parks and lakes, and you wouldn’t think a small state would have that many places that you could visit. But they actually have a lot of fun places to visit for the week/weekend for you and your family. Lake Panora is another great place that you can visit.

                This is a place that is mainly for fishing, a lot of people go fishing, and they have several areas that people can fish. People love going up there for fishing for their space and always have luck for getting a lot of fishes. So if you would a big fan of fishing I would recommend trying a weekend up there.

It also have a huge golf course right on the lake, this is a pretty amazing golf course. Its right in the center like you has water surrounding all around you while you’re playing golf.  And the amazing thing is that when you hit the ball in the water and the water splashes and it makes a loud noise and splashes back at you.  

An amazing thing that you have an opportunity to do is to rent a home or cabin right on the lake while you stay there. This is awesome and so fun because you have a dock that you can walk right onto and you see the water. It’s such a beautiful scene and lake to go see.

                Lake Panora has a lot of other things that you can do that you’ll have to check out while you’re there and hope that you enjoy it.  As you can see in my last three blogs Iowa have some pretty amazing Parks/ Lakes that you’ll have to travel to and check out. Iowa has a lot more besides these three that should be looked into too that you and your family could take a vacation to.

Lake Okoboji

Did you enjoy going to Back Bone State Park and want to explore more parks and lakes in Iowa? Well Lake Okoboji is another amazing place to go to for the weekend/ week. They have a lot of awesome things that you can go do. They have cabin and cottages that you can stay in and trust me these places are amazing and well belt!!! They have some awesome features in them and some of them are kind of up class.

                In these cottages/cabins places that you can stay in there’s a game room that constant such a pool table, ping pong table, foosball and many more things that you can play with. This game room is huge and the kids would have a blast spending playing in it. I think it’s kind of nice that they include this in it that they have something to do like at nights before they go to bed.

                You’ll have a huge yard where you’re staying and it includes some nice quality things. Such as patio furniture that you can sit out there and look the beautiful lake because the lake is so pretty, the water is something else it is clear blue.  There are also picnic tables that you can sit out there and have a picnic, with the gas grill that’s provided or whatever you like to have. Do you like to go bike riding, well most of them provide bikes that you can ride and they have some awesome trails that you can take your bike on and even trails that you take a nice walk. It also includes a lot more things such as a fire pit and many other nice things.

                You can also rent boats and enjoy your day on the beautiful huge lake. Trust me you’ll have a blast of your life and would want to go back again. They even have sail boats that you can go on for the day. But they also have other boats that you can ride such as paddle boats and regular boats but this is an awesome place to go to and definitely recommended this place you wouldn’t regret your choice.

                They have tons of other activities that you can do that are within a couple of minutes your cabin. Such as an amusement park, a swimming beach, ski rental, scuba diving excursions and many more things that you’ll have to check out, you and your family would definitely want to go back again.
